We are warm. We are cold. We are strangely secure.
Sound. Horrible sound.
Spell us out.
Bring us out.
Streetwise.

Arrogantly, they sit in a row. Proud, they come in sevens.
They are my childhood. These are our building blocks.
They are a natural disaster.
This is our mother. This is our father.
This is our sibling.

hmmm….if that made utterly no sense let’s rephrase. alot of the time you can find really lovely, beautiful things from people that are still students, young-ins, expanding their horizons, looking for new things. i first saw Claire Vogel’s work on flickr and it emits a fun, careless attitude that leaves you wanting more. she attends [...]

whatever you may put in your pockets,
whether it be pills or electrical sockets,
there’s a project where can scan your art,
and never let the memory part.

i’ve posted about this project a little over a year ago, but i recently checked the site again and there are quite a few new images of people around the world [...]

stephanie davidson. SD. smiling dragons. well no, not at all really. stephanie davidson is an artist hailing from my home land of the deliciously smoggy and the never-ending delights, yep Toronto. the work she creates would bring any drug induced person to a gleeful smile. her collages are particularly quirky and fun, as well as [...]

alison brady is an emerging photographer living in the big apple. her photos are rad. themes of identity loss, twisted sexual fantasies, and traumatic disconnect are all at play within her portfolio. sweeeeeeet.

oh yes, and by looking through her work it becomes apparent she is far better at shooting women. her male photos aren’t nearly [...]

this was my final video art project. we could produce anything our little hearts desired. i desired creepy time lapses of apartment buildings in vancouver. i desired strange combinations of possibilities. i desired to explore the use of sound. i desired. i still desire.

patrick winfield likes polaroids. he also enjoys putting things together. he probably also likes sunny days and long walks on the beach. you never know.

blob love.

brendon monroe makes some pretty interesting, organic looking pieces. he splits his work between painting and sculpture. his work seems to emit a sense of melancholy bitter sweetness, likely because one of his main characters is a blob that transforms from each of his works.

megan whitmarsh is likely enamoured with all things yeti and embroidered. who can blame her? yetis are highly misunderstood and embroidery is just oh so pleasant to touch. mix in a dash of robots, lasers, masked men, and tiny mountains, you’ve got yourself a party.
